Our Story

In 2010, Cornerstone Church in Nashville, Tennessee started a video campus in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Pastor Maury Davis would preach the weekend services at Cornerstone and on Sunday morning, a video of that message would play at the Bowling Green  campus. In August of 2012, Pastor Maury approached his executive Pastor Dave Deerman about turning this video campus into an autonomous church plant. Pastor Davis met with the congregation and in a unanimous vote, they welcomed the opportunity to begin this adventure. In September 2012, Pastors Dave and Christy Deerman became the  pastors of the non-denominational church called CenterPointe. Pastors Dave and Christy served with excellence until 2019 when they felt the call of God to pass the church onto the next generation of leaders. Through mutual friends, Pastors Dave and Christy were connected with Pastors Jacob and Kristen Holmes and a kingdom connection began. After preaching and leading worship at CenterPointe, Pastors Jacob and Kristen knew this was where God was calling them to lead. After a unanimous vote, Pastors Jacob and Kristen became the Pastors of CenterPointe church in May of 2019 and were officially installed on June 30, 2019. 

Our spiritual vision phrase for 2023 is, "We can't stay here." We are committed to growing beyond our 4 walls into various areas and communities in our city. We desire to see the kingdom of God expand to those who need Christ, and we will do anything short of sin to see that happen! 

Community impact for the kingdom of God is our primary goal. We believe this means we will ultimately have campuses not just at 1000 Roselawn way, but many areas and communities in our county and beyond. As we see continued growth in our church, we realize that our current building is not going to be able to hold the amount of people who called CenterPointe home. We are currently praying and asking God for his direction for the next location of CPC.
